Girl Power Foundation Uganda believes every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, lead, earn and reach her full potential.
Girl Power Foundation Uganda (GPFU) is a grassroots organisation working to create a future where every girl has the opportunity, confidence, skills and support to reach her full potential.
Founded in 2017 by Ainembaabazi Winnie, Girl Power Foundation Uganda grew from a deep commitment to ensuring that girls in rural communities are not limited by poverty, harmful social norms, lack of opportunities or their circumstances.
Based in Nyamigoye Parish, Kanyantorogo Subcounty, Kanungu District in Southwestern Uganda, we work closely with girls, families, schools, community leaders and partners to create lasting opportunities for girls and young women.
Our work focuses on girls’ empowerment, education, mentorship, skills development, economic empowerment, wellbeing and environmental action.
To raise girls into responsible, empowered and self-sustaining women.
